Choices Magazine's Outstanding Young Achiever for 2004
 At just 19, Ana Strachan had already shown the determination and potential of an outstanding young achiever.
She delighted fellow Jamaicans and schoolmates with her enchanting voice.
In 2002, she brought honour to Jamaica, placing third among 34 entrants from countries around the world in the Hal Jackson’s Talented Teens International in New York.
In 2003, she and her sister were named grand champions of the World Performing Arts Championships. That same year, Ana received the Prime minister’s youth award for excellence in the arts.
None of this has dimmed her academic brilliance. She excelled at her alma mater, Ardenne High School, and now is making her mark as a student in the Department of Literatures in English at the University of the West Indies.
Her achievements are borne of a life of discipline, determination and a commitment to be the best she can be. (June 2004)
