It was two fabulous days for CHOICES Career & Education Expo 2006 in Kingston (June 6) and Mandeville (June 8). Over 5000 visitors - the majority between the ages of 14 and 18 - attended the event between the two locations.
The Expo fulfilled its mandate by bringing all of the major players in the career and education sectors face to face with their publics - those in need of education, training and career direction.
Visitors were fed an informative diet of usable and essential information in the areas of careers and education.
Guidance counsellors from over 100 schools across the entire island attended a seminar arranged especially for them on the subject "The CSM & The Caribbean Job Hunter". The stage programme featured a series of speakers on a variety of different careers, official opening ceremonies in both locations, exciting school quizzes, afternoon entertainment segments and lots of prizes and give-aways.
Thanks, again, to all who assisted in some way. A GREAT TIME WAS HAD BY ALL! |
